Mahj & Margs

Mahj & Margs: An American Mahjong Lesson Series with Ellevate and Pink Bamboo

Start the new year with a fresh hobby, good friends and a great drink in hand. Ellevate has teamed up with Pink Bamboo Mahjong for a three-week American Mahjong lesson series at Boston Public Market. It’s the perfect Dry January night out: you’ll learn the game from the ground up while sipping our nonalcoholic margaritas.

• Week 1 (Jan 7): Meet the tiles. Learn the suits, honors, flowers and jokers, and how to read the card.
• Week 2 (Jan 14): Play it through. Practice the Charleston, calling tiles and building toward a hand.
• Week 3 (Jan 21): Put it all together. Play full games with coaching at the table, and leave ready to host your own mahj night.

Each evening comes with one Ellevate nonalcoholic margarita, and additional margaritas can be purchased. No experience needed. Pink Bamboo provides the tiles, cards and everything else you need to play. Seats are limited to 24 players, so grab a friend (or three) and claim your table.

Tickets cover all three lessons and are non-refundable.
